Most Construction Drawing sets include
the following sheets:
- Foundation Plan:
Includes foundation layout at 1/4" scale, full basement and crawl space
areas, and foundation notes. Unless noted otherwise, all plans are
shown with full basement and 10" reinforced cast-in-place concrete foundation
walls.
- Detailed Floor Plans:
Complete dimensioned and detailed floor plans at 1/4" scale.
- Building Sections:
Building cross sections at 1/4" scale illustrate foundation, floor and
wall construction, and associated details. Additional sections may
illustrate specific building conditions.
- Interior and Exterior Details:
Various important trim, cornice, fireplace, or other details as they relate
to your individual house. Details, therefore, will vary per plan.
- Exterior Elevations:
Front, rear, side, and other pertinent exterior elevations of your
house. Front elevation at 1/4" scale, others may be at 1/8"
scale. Front elevations illustrate particular details that give your
house unique character.
- Framing Plans:
First floor framing plan, second floor framing plan and roof framing plan
all at 1/4" scale. Also included are framing specifications and
pertinent framing details.
Note: Due to regional
variations, local availability of materials, local codes, methods of
installation, and individual preferences, it is impossible to include detail on
heating, plumbing and electrical work on your plans. The duct work,
venting and other details will vary depending on the type of heating and cooling
system (hot water, forced air, electric, solar) and the type of energy (oil,
gas, electricity, solar) that you use. These details and specifications
are easily obtained from your builder, contractor, and/or local suppliers.
Many materials suppliers or builders will
provide a materials list. Therefore, we do not include one. This
will allow you to tailor your materials selections to local material
availability and costs.
Our square footage figures represent
heated/cooled living area. Vaulted, two story spaces, unfurnished areas,
basements, garages, and attics are not included.
